Granite SoFFA Social

Our first event will take place during the New Hampshire Film Festival (NHFF), where we will host a Social at Foobar in downtown Portsmouth (which also happens to be one of the many NHFF screening & event venues). Friday, Oct. 15, from 5-7 p.m. Check back for more details!

Granite SoFFA Beginnings

After a screening of Hatchling Studio's MITO KIDS & DEAF PERCEPTION at Red River Theatres in 2010, four female film artists chatted in the lobby and found they each shared a common vision: to join a group that supports and encourages women who live, work, and play in film in New Hampshire.

Rather than wait for such a group to form, they have joined forces and launched their own: Granite SoFFA, the New Hampshire Society of Female Film Artists, which welcomes anyone interested in film and in supporting women who love film.

Granite SoFFA welcomes women behind and in-front of the camera of all skill levels, from Gaffer to Producer, Writer to Make-Up Artist, Film Fan to Film Distributor, and everyone who simply counts film among one of their life's passions. We're about fun, support, friendship, commiseration, & more. We welcome your comments, ideas, & thoughts.
